MUA uses Extended Reality to dissolve the boundary
between real and virtual world, transforming everyday spaces
into immersive meditation environments.
With expert narration guide, dreamlike visuals, and interactive experiences,
MUA guides even beginners to achieve
deep immersion and shifts meditation from passive viewing to active participation.
MUA was developed through joint research with KAIST’s Department of Brain & Cognitive Science and Center for Contemplative Science. By analyzing users' bio and mind data and recommending hyper-personalized meditation content, it maximizes the effects of meditation with the integration of science and meditation.
MUA is synchronized to wearable devices such as smart watches and smart rings to collect and understand the physical state of the user (e.g. heart rate, HRV, etc.). Further, cognitive psychology-based questionnaires are used to assess the user's current mental state. The bio and mind data gathered are then analyzed in real time to recommend meditation content optimized for the user's condition.
Those recommended meditation content helps not just user’s psychological stability but also improve work efficiency by mitigating stress and enhancing creativity.
MUA’s sounds are produced by Director Park Seola, an authority in sound meditation, and various meditation instrument performers, with the auditory elements most-sophisticatedly designed. The sound is designed to guide users into deep immersion by applying the solfeggio method with specific frequencies and various meditation instruments that leave a deep resonance and soothing aftereffect, inducing psychological stability even without users’ intention.
MUA’s sound is designed around the 432Hz frequency, known for its harmonious vibrations with nature, to maximize the emotional healing experience. The Harmonix creates depth and abundance in sound, thereby giving users psychological stability and inner tranquility.
MUA’s sound employs global healing instruments such as crystal singing bowl, Himalayan singing bowl, crystal chime, didgeridoo, hang drum, and Gong, and Korean traditional instruments such as ajaeng and gayageum.
These musical elements offer a universal healing experience that transcends cultural boundaries, combining modern meditation techniques with traditional sound healing, allowing anyone to empathize with and experience it.
